The Intel 12th - 14th Generation processors have been excellent for gaming over the years and still stand as great options to this day. Here we have some of the all time greats, the 12700KF and 14700KF.
What do we mean by compact?
You might think that compact means tiny but in this instance, it just means they're not enormous. You'll often buy a PC online without realising that the PC case is gigantic as they're made to fit the highest performing parts on the market... But we're not all swimming in cash and a case made to fit a £3,000 liquid cooled GPU is just not necessary for a mid-range PC.
So, when you receive your custom built compact PC, you won't need a forklift to unload it, it's just the size you would expect a PC to be.
Is this PC upgradeable?
Due to the size of the cases here we would not recommend installing a 5080 and an Intel i9, purely because of the temperature. If you would like a higher specification, please view our performance range which offers the i9 and 5080 as an option.
What are our recommendations here?
The Z790 motherboards are an absolute must if you are opting for the 14700KF or 12700KF processors, this is due to the Z790 chipset being the only available chipset that supports the full performance of these processors. If you are opting for a 5070 Ti and an i7, a 1000W PSU is recommended.
If you want to play at 1440p (2k) then go with the below:
5070 or better GPU
12700F or better CPU
1000W PSU
Whilst the 5060 Ti does support 1440p on some games, it's not the best option for playing at that resolution on every game.
If you want 4k gaming then go with the below:
5070 Ti GPU
14700F or 14700KF CPU
1000W PSU
