AMD are providing some serious options for gaming enthusiasts and a few of their best offerings are available to select here. With a 7800X3D and 9800X3D available, you can be sure to get great performance out of this PC.

Why choose this PC?

The 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 available here will support 4K gaming but even if you want to start with the lower end options, you can upgrade to better components further down the line. Whether you are replacing an older gaming PC or just getting started in the PC gaming scene, the options here are well suited to you.

Is this PC upgradeable?

Short answer? Yes, if you want to go beyond what is available as an option here you asbolutely can, we simply limit the options to what we know is reliable, stable and performs well. Our officially supported higher end options are available in our performance range.

What are our recommendations here?

The X870 motherboard chipset is overkill for a Ryzen 7 and 5070 Ti but it's good for future proofing as the AM5 socket will be used by AMD until 2029, this chipset also has faster USB ports. If you choose a Ryzen 7 and 5070 Ti then give your PSU some headroom and go for the higher wattage. We would also recommend an AIO over an air cooler with these options selected just to keep temps down.

 

If you want to play at 1440p (2k) then go with the below:

5070 or better GPU

7800X3D or 9800X3D CPU

1000W PSU

Whilst the 5060 Ti does support 1440p on some games, it's not the best option for playing at that resolution on every game.

 

If you want 4k gaming then go with the below:

5070 Ti GPU

9800X3D CPU

1000W PSU
